Bellevue is changing, and no longer is it just the place for baby-boomers for a condo to downsize now that the kids have left the nest. As it turns out for Bellevue, it’s the kids who are moving in. The growing number of bars, nightlife activities and a low crime rate are only some of the things that attract young people to settle in this city–the main reason is ususally to move closer to work at offices for high-tech companies like Microsoft.
Although the previous residents of Bellevue were for the most part folks ranging between middle-aged and senior citizens, Diana Canzoneri, Bellevue’s lead demographer says that the number of young professionals (ages 20-30) will continue to rise, due to the growing number of tech jobs being created in this area.
And so the face of Bellevue changes…
