The brochures and models look scrumptious. You can’t wait to rese
rve a condo wi
th those colors, natural light and classy features. Just one problem–what you’re looking at in those artistic renditions is not necessarily what you will get once the condo is complete. Condo developers can, and do, exercise their right to implement changes between the image presented and the final tangible outcome.
When moving between an artistic concept and an actual constructed layout the difference between a few adjustments and absolutely false advertising on the developer’s end fall into a legal gray area. This makes the issue an obvious concern for buyers. The safest bet? Go with a developer who has a steady record for keeping the completed condos extremely close to their presenation in the pre-construction marketing material.
Seattle Condo Review performed a survey of three condos and how well the post-construction condos matched the pre-construction promotional models. Of the three projects Lumen, Mosler Lofts, and The Parc, Mosler Lofts–on Seattle’s 3rd in Clay–has held truest to its original design, giving it a great name and reputation for keeping its promise. (On the left if the actual construction, on the right is the pre-construction model.)
